1.13 [320] For they know that he has acquired the knowledge concerning practical matters, choosing virtue and fleeing vice, and that he has the “property” of those who are taught by him. They speak, then, as though catching him, “and with these things we will subdue [him].” Alternatively, “property of the righteous” is wisdom and prudence, understanding and virtue. The “impious” seize this property when they persuade the righteous person to do something of those things that are forbidden by God, so that, being blinded from sin, the mind might fall away from these holy possessions.[88]
10.8 [321] For an intelligent righteous person, even difficult matters become easy; but for the person of opposite character, he causes even those things that are easy and bring relief to be difficult.[89]
5.21 [322] Those who are skilled in contemplations have reason, having nothing exalted.
